1 Day -Trip to Imlil from Marrakech & The Atlas Mountains

Today in the morning at around 8:30, you will start your journey by departing Marrakech in a private transportation. The drive to Imlil takes approximately 1.5 hours, allowing you to admire the changing landscape as you ascend into the mountains.

Upon arrival in Imlil, take a moment to soak in the serene mountain atmosphere. This traditional village serves as the starting point for many hiking trails in the High Atlas. 

At around 10AM, begin a moderate hike towards the village of Aroumd. The trail winds through stunning mountain scenery, offering panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. 

After your cultural experience, begin a moderate hike towards the village of Aroumd. As you trek, you will wind through the traditional hamlets of Ait Souka and Targa Imoula, navigating the rugged slopes of the Western High Atlas. Throughout the journey, the majestic peaks of the Toubkal Massif remain a constant presence on the horizon, with the towering summits of Jbel Aguelzim (3,547m), Aksouâl (3,847m), and Adrar Adj (3,122m) watching over your path.

Arrive in Aroumd and enjoy a traditional Berber lunch, featuring local produce and fresh mountain air. After lunch, you will return to Imlil and explore the local souk, where you can browse handcrafted Berber goods, including textiles, pottery, and jewelry. Wander through the charming streets and interact with the friendly locals.

Bid farewell to Imlil and begin your return journey to Marrakech, with the opportunity to reflect on the day’s experiences and the beauty of the High Atlas Mountains.
